HONOLULU, HI (June 30, 2023) – Central Pacific Bank (CPB) concluded its Go Contactless! campaign today with a grand prize event giving away a brand new 2023 Toyota Tacoma SR5 to a lucky customer. Three finalists, who were selected at random, met at CPB’s Downtown Honolulu Main Branch. Each was given a key, but only one of them held the actual key that started the truck. One by one they tried their key to see if it worked.

The winner of the new 2023 Toyota Tacoma SR5, valued at $32,750, is Pekelo Poʻomaihealani from Kaneohe. Each of the remaining, Romeo Lucas and Veronica Ranario, finalists received $1,000 deposited into their CPB account.

“It is so much fun seeing the face of the surprised and happy winner!” said Central Pacific Bank Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Brandt Farias. “In all we received more than 2.5 million entries and it was so easy for customers to enter simply by using their personal CPB debit card to pay for purchases they were going to make anyway. The campaign is an exciting and interactive way to tell our customers about our contactless features.”

+CPB also awarded weekly winners throughout the campaign, which began on April 3, 2023, with the following prizes that have a total value of more than $5,000:

  • Microsoft Surface Laptop
  • Apple MacBook Air
  • Apple iPhone 14
  • Apple iPad Air
  • Apple AirPods Max
  • $500 Amazon.com gift card
