Central Pacific Bank Foundation Awards $2,500 to H.P. Baldwin Foundation
HONOLULU, HI – August 22, 2013 – The Central Pacific Bank Foundation awarded $2,500 to H.P. Baldwin Foundation. The donation will be used to fund H.P. Baldwin High School’s 75th Anniversary Celebration Service Project. The monies will be used to construct 15 to 20 concrete and metal student benches throughout campus. “We are pleased to support a school with such a rich legacy in the Maui community and Hawaii,” said Denis Isono, CPB Foundation President and EVP, Chief Financial Officer at Central Pacific Bank. “And we are excited that in honor of its 75th anniversary that Baldwin has chosen to give back to its students and teachers through campus service projects.”
The Central Pacific Bank Foundation was established to strengthen Hawaii communities by creating opportunities for youth and fostering social progress. The foundation support focuses on the areas of education and community development. The H.P. Baldwin Foundation is dedicated to supporting the education of students and student activities by providing scholarships, assisting with teacher-initiated programs, and promoting school environment improvements.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from the Central Pacific Bank Foundation,” said Catherine Kilborn, principal of Baldwin High School. “These funds will help us to orchestrate a successful anniversary service project that will help the existing students, as well as the generations to come.”
