Snowballs For School Supplies
Central Pacific Bank’s ‘Snowballs for School Supplies’ event held on Saturday, July 14 at Kakaako Park helped bring in donations for the Helping Hands Hawaii Ready To Learn program. Keiki came dressed in snow gear and exchanged their school supply donations for play time in the snow.
Hawaiian Ice partnered for the event and made the public debut of its new snow machine that shoots shaved ice into the air to mimic falling snow. Also a partner for the event, the Krater 96 van and radio personality Sistah Sherry providing music, entertainment, and a prize wheel.
Central Pacific Bank is collecting school supplies and monetary donations throughout the month of July at its 34 branches statewide as part of the Ready to Learn program. Administered by Helping Hands Hawaii, Ready to Learn provides more than 12,000 low-income Hawaii children each year with new classroom supplies at the start of the school year.
