CPB Donates Shirts To Aloha Medical Mission

Aloha Medical Mission receives shirts from Central Pacific Bank

Central Pacific Bank (CPB) donated 500 shirts – valued at roughly $7,000 – to Aloha Medical Mission (AMM). AMM will ship a portion of the shirts to Manila, Philippines, on Wednesday to be distributed by Gen. Charly Holganza to the low-income residents. The rest of the shirts will be given away during future medical missions to the Philippines; the next mission is set for October 2011.

“We commend the work of Aloha Medical Mission and the countless medical volunteers who donate their time to provide free health care to the underserved people throughout the world,” said David Hudson, CPB Senior Vice President and Community Banking Division Manager. “We hope that our donation will compliment Aloha Medical Mission‟s generosity on its next overseas mission to the Philippines.”

Aloha Medical Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer organization based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Since its founding in 1983, it has sent over 4,000 volunteers on 128 missions to 15 countries. Some 250,000 patients have been treated and 17,000 surgeries performed, all free of charge. AMM also operates the only completely free dental clinic in Hawaii, supports two free clinics in Bangladesh, and sponsors an advanced training program for Philippine ophthalmologists.
